Larry's Background
In about 15 years of broadcasting, Larry has worked at 10 radio stations across the country working every format from talk radio to country. Most of his time was spent at WSM-FM, the sister station to WSM 650 AM. This is the same company that gave birth to the Opryland theme park, Opryland Hotel (a 5 star), The Grand Ole Opry, Springhouse Golf Course (Home of the Bellsouth Senior Classic each year in June), TNN (since purchased and gone through the changes of becoming The National Network and on to become Spike TV), and CMT. As producer and strong 3rd voice of the Karl and Cathy show, Larry enjoyed over 3 years near the top of one of the most competitive radio markets in the nation.
The Radio/Television studios of Arkansas State University served as a huge asset when Larry was developing his love for television. As a part of Advanced Television, Larry became the weatherman and produced as well as hosted several productions, including a game show, aired on the cable system in Jonesboro, AR. This experience landed him the weather anchor position at KJCT in Grand Jct, CO less than five months after graduation from the university. Other television experiences include an attempt some 6 years ago at making a fishing show for a national audience. Guests included greats such as, Kenny Rogers, Bassin Gals world Champ Emily Shaffer, Bass Pro Joey Monteleone, and former place kicker for the Tenessee Titans, Al Del Greco.
Through years of doing commercials, Larry has written numerous spots and plans to continue helping businesses grow through creative commercial production.
